These (4) custom, adjustable height standing desks were part of a commission I received from a startup company in San Francisco needing to furnish their new office space.
The concept for each desk was to create a functional work surface with the ability to seamlessly alternate from a sitting and standing position. A key design feature is a centrally located scissor jack that serves as the mechanism for converting the work surface height, and has the added benefit of great structural support for the weight of the table and its contents. Placing the desks on lockable caster wheels also gives them the versatility to be easily moved throughout the office for specific needs such as team meetings, task collaboration, and simple personal preference.
This unique approach to the standing desk ultimately provides a comfortable workspace for employees and improves productivity while promoting a healthier work environment.
The table top surface measures 36"x30", and the desk has a variable height of 30"-50" in increments of 4".
